Elisa (Serrato) Narvaez's Obituary
Elisa (Serrato) Narvaez, 77, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 in Wichita, KS. Elisa was born on July 13, 1938 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Juan C. and Brigida Oliva Serrato.
Elisa graduated from CHS in 1956. After Elisa graduated high school, she married Abel Narvaez and they had two children together. Elisa owned and operated Elisa Mexican Restaurant in Chanute for 17 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino and playing the slot machines. She most of all loved her family and spending time with your two grandkids.
Elisa was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Emilio Serrato, Serafin Serrato and Alfred Serrato, a sister, Juanita Ortiz.
She is survived by her children: John and David Narvaez of Chanute, a sister, Esther Ortiz, two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Hannah Narvaez, a daughter-in-law, Shannon Narvaez, nieces, Melissa and Candace Brill and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 7:30 p.m., at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Chanute, KS.
