Elisa was a very sweet lady with a beauty smile. I enjoyed working for a summer with her one year & our family always enjoyed eating at her Mexician Cafe, always delicious. So sorry to Chanute for lossing a great asset of the town. Elisa now enjoying a great reward for all her hard work & love she shared to so many. May you rest in peace.
Elisa was a kind, thoughtful, caring, loving, mother, aunt, grandma and sister. She was one of those people who never spoke a bad word about anyone. She always wore a smile on her face. She was the first to volunteer if you needed help. She opened her heart and her home to anyone that needed love or a place to stay. I never saw her without a smile on her face. Her words of wisdom, although serious, could make you laugh at times. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved all her family unconditionally. She was there to smooth the rough waters when family issues arose. She was our "chaperone" when me and my sister and cousins (Patty, Gloria, Rita and Vera) were teenagers. Took us to events and made sure we acted like young ladies. So many memories of her. I will miss her dearly.
My condolences to John, David and Abel. She may not be here, but she is looking down on you.

Elisa was a good friend to me long after high school where we began our friendship. She always honked, waved and flashed her big happy smile at me every time she saw me working in my yard. And such a gracious lady she was to open her restaurant to our Class of '56 reunions, hosting the Friday night get-acquainted pre party. My condolences to her family for the loss of such a kind and spirited lady.
I was saddened to learn to Elisa's death. I was in school with her, and she was always friendly and happy and fun to be around,. A good, good woman. My condolences to her family.
