Ellynne Gail Brumbaugh's Obituary
Ellynne Gail Brumbaugh, age 69, of Stark, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home. Ellynne was born on November 13, 1947 in Osh Kosh, NE the daughter of Calvin Coolidge and Berneice Ellynne (Brooks) Senteney.
On August 18, 1964, Ellynne married Gale Brumbaugh in Sidney, NE. They later divorced and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2001.
Ellynne was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother with a strong sense of humor. She graduated from cosmetology school in Sidney, NE then ventured into law enforcement where she helped her father-in-law, Sheriff Kermit G. Brumbaugh. Ellynne moved to Chanute in 1978 and had a few different jobs, and ended with a 10 year career with the Neosho County Sheriff’s Department. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Ellynne was very passionate about politics and was a longtime member of the Neosho County Democrats. She was the proud “dogmom” of three chihuahua’s, Max, Pepper, and Dale. She was a member of Stark United Methodist Church.

Ellynne was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Gale Brumbaugh; and infant brother, Larry.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Ash Hollow Cemetery in Lewellen, NE at a later date. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. A memorial fund to help family with expenses has been set up at Bank of Commerce in Chanute, KS. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home 101 N Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
