Elmer Dale See's Obituary
Elmer Dale See, 86, of Chanute, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Elmer was born in Norwich, Kansas on October 7, 1927, the son of Floyd and Othel (Noales) See.
Elmer attended Stark schools. He was united in marriage to Billie Jean Gregeory on December 25, 1952 at the First Christian Church in Chanute.
He served his country in the United States Air Force from February 1, 1950 until his discharge on August 7, 1952. He worked as an Electrician for Ash Grove Cement Plant, and was a member of the American Legion Post 170 in Chanute.
Elmer is survived by his wife Billie See of the home; three daughters, Ginny Boos and her husband Larry of Overland Park, KS, Rita Taylor and Cheryl Doughty, both of Chanute; a son, Roy See and his wife Cindy of Chanute; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Crapson of Excelsior Springs, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Othel and Floyd See; brothers, Loren, Francis and Eugene; sister, Pauline Chaney.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute. Memorials in his name may be made to the American Legion Post 170 and may be left with the funeral home.
Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel.
