Emma Murdene Weatherby's Obituary
Emma Murdene Weatherby age 86 of Fredonia, died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Medicalodges Independence. Murdene was born on October 16, 1929 in Sycamore Valley, KS the daughter of Warren and Frankie (Parks) Shay.
Murdene was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1947. On June 1, 1947, Murdene married Charles Ed Weatherby, they were married for 56 years until his death in March of 2003. Murdene worked several years as a cook at the Fredonia Hospital, a press operator at Automotive Controls in Independence, while raising 7 children and taking care of her family with her husband.
Murdene was a member of the Fredonia VFW Auxiliary, she enjoyed sewing, working in her garden, watching birds, cooking and baking. Most of all she loved her family and friends.

Cremation has been requested, a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Pastor Robin Haines officiating Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
