Erma D. Clarkson's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Erma Darlene Clarkson, on January 28, 2026, she passed from this earth into the loving arms of our heavenly father and her dear husband.
Erma was born on October 3, 1940 at the family home near Leon, KS. She attended school in Leon, before marrying Jesse Dee Clarkson on June 15, 1958, in Rosalia, KS. She spent several years working as a dispatcher at the Elk County Sheriffs office. Erma dearly loved her family, her cats, crocheting gifts for the family, and of course her peanut butter cups.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Dee Clarkson, son Michael Clarkson and her parents Clarence and Blanche (Elliott) Razey. Siblings Ernest Razey, Joyce Razey, and Lewis Razey. A great grandson Hudson Sherwood.
She is survived by son Timothy Clarkson of Longton, KS, daughters Teresa Clarkson of Longton, KS and Deborah Clarkson (Aaron) of Park City, KS. A sister Evelyn Finely of Wichita, KS. Four grandchildren Brandon (Alex) Clarkson of Hepler, KS, Lisa (Cody) Purgason of Cushing, OK., Joshua and Kyle Sherwood of Park City, KS and four great grandchildren.
Cremation has been requested with a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Christian Community Church in Longton, KS. Memorials have been suggested to Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
