I have many great memories of Uncle Ernie. On one visit I had just walked out the door to the house and saw a garter snake. Just as I reached down to grab it he yelled "Stop the mix breed with rattle snakes out here!" It freaked me out so bad I do not think I ever grabbed for another garter snake in my life. Then there was a time I got to go to feed the cattle with him. He told me about the fact there were still cattle wrestlers out there and he never went anywhere without his gun. I was thrilled to get to go with him to feed. Then he took me for a slice of pie for breakfast. Ernie is my dad Claude's cousin but he and Aunt Margaret will always be my Uncle and Aunt. I am honored I got to spend time with him.
