Esther D. Ashley's Obituary
Esther D. Ashley, age 74, a resident of Fall River, Kansas passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. She was born on September 29, 1934 in Caldwell, Kansas the daughter of Dale and Mona (Gifford) Smith.
On May 13, 1966 she was united in marriage to John R. Ashley in Wichita, Kansas. Esther worked for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She was known for supporting her community and being a good neighbor.
Esther is survived by her husband John of the home, two sons: Fred Saville and Eddie Saville both of Fall River, Kansas, two step-daughters Gae Lynn Ashley of Wichita, Kansas and Trenna Logston of Andover, Kansas, one sister Darlene Von Fedlt of Wichita, Kansas and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Wesley Smith.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, April 17, 2009 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Pastor Mark Demas officiating. Memorials are suggested to Fall River Christian Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.
