Eva Pauline Matlock's Obituary
Eva Pauline (Chase) Matlock, age 92 passed away Feb. 8, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute, KS. Pauline was born August 31, 1922 in Elsmore, KS; the daughter Oliver and Edna (Singleton) Chase.
On April 9, 1939 Pauline married Eliga Matlock in Chanute, KS. Pauline worked as a food manager for the Chanute School District. Pauline was a great seamstress and loved to make quilts. Over the years Pauline has made over 270 quilts. She loved to cook, sew, yodel and being a mom. Pauline was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chanute and she was a White Shrine. Pauline was always a listening ear to her grandkids and she will be greatly missed.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother: Lyle Chase, granddaughter: Cindy Baker.
She is survived by her sons: Jerry Matlock and wife Dawn of Cherryvale, KS and Randy Matlock of Topeka, KS; daughters: Carol Fulps and husband Eddie of Chanute, Judy Hedden of Chanute and Linda Barker of Topeka, KS; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service for Pauline is planned for Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Memorials are suggested to Cherry Street Youth Center in Chanute and they may be sent in care of Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland Chanute, KS 66720.
