Evelyn Louise Olson's Obituary
Evelyn Louise Olson, age 86, of Buffalo, KS, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute, KS. Evelyn was born on October 21, 1931 in Tulsa, OK the daughter of Art and Nina (Jackson) Provorse.
Evelyn graduated from Vilas High School. She married Dwight Olson on March 11, 1949 in Buffalo, KS.
Evelyn was a devoted farm wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who gave willingly and unselfishly of her time and many talents. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, painting and volunteering for many organizations including serving the Wilson County Election Board, tutoring at Altoona Midway School, 4-H and teaching Bible School. She was a member of United Methodist Woman, Vilas Homebuilders Unit and High Prairie United Methodist Church.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; her parents; and sister, Shirley Huffman.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland in Chanute, KS. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11 am at High Prairie United Methodist Church north of Altoona, KS. Interment will follow at High Prairie Cemetery.
