Lord, please help me to express in words how much Elva & I Loved Everett/Tiny/Bud Wilnerd.!
Here’s a Man, that shortly after returning from Germany while in the Army, took me, an 11 year old boy along with him & Carolyn, (b-4 they were married), to the river for an afternoon. Took me along to a Globetrotters basketball game in Great Bend & thrilled me with the “streetcar bell” he had installed under the floorboard of his car.
Everett never met a stranger! We went to hundreds of garage sales and he would engage in a conversation with someone virtually every time. Oh my, did we have fun! We would garage sale all day, then stay up and talk until the wee hours of the morning, (3:00 a.m.was our record). Gag gifts for any of the four of us were hilarious. For example, Everett & Lanny splinting their fingers when Elva had injured hers. You didn’t dare ever tell Everett about something silly you had dreamed or done. It,for sure
was going to come back at you.
More than anything, we Love him for making my Sister Carolyn happy for more than 60 years. Everett lost the “in-law tag” years ago. We’re very proud to call him Brother. For years, I’ve gone thru every day, seeing, hearing, finding something and thinking I’ve got to see what Everett thinks about that. He could find the humor in anything. Some comedian is famous for saying “Leave Them Laughing”! When the tears finally stop; that’s precisely what you have done!
Everett and Carolyn were close to our family. Carol and Craig were my classmates and friends. Laura was my sister, Irene's age. I remember the strength Everett gave to his family. My grandmother was also their "babysitter" for years. My heart breaks for this family. Love to all of you.

Having worked with Tiny as a fellow Warden I have many memories of him. Tiny was always a kind fun loving individual.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wilnerd family at this very difficult time.

Thinking of all members of the Wilnerd family with fond memories from my childhood. From babysitting 6 children as my first summer job to cookouts, Howard Christian Church, lots of fun and laughter with The Game Warden and the Highway Patrolman, getting my fishing license checked and mostly just a “good family”. May Everett Rest In Peace and go fishing with Wendall in heaven.
Thoughts and prayers for you and yours.Sorry for your loss.
Everett was such a joy to be around...full of life and much humor who brought a smile every time I saw him. He will be remembered as a very kind hearted man and truly missed in our community. Carolyn and family,, remember "Sorrow is not forever, Love is"
