Florence Irene Brown's Obituary
Florence Irene Brown, age 74, a resident of Severy, Kansas passed away January 1, 2013 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1938 in Humboldt, Kansas the daughter of Warren R. and Nora E. (Carter) Heath.
On November 15, 1954, Florence was united in marriage to William “Bill” Brown in Humboldt. She was a housewife, waitress and also worked for Tyson Poultry. Florence attended the Severy Baptist Church. She loved her cats, gardening and working with flowers.
Florence is survived by one daughter Joy Brown of Severy, Kansas, two sons; Eugene Brown of Severy, Kansas and Joe Brown of Eureka, Kansas, three grandchildren; Derrick Brown, Brittany Watkins and Dylan Brown and one great grandchild Jewel E. Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Brown, one son Virgil Brown, one brother James Heath and one grandchild Pete Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Severy Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Pameticky officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at South Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and by left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside - Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
