Florrie N. McGinnis' Obituary
Florrie N. McGinnis, age 74 of Fredonia, KS passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City. Florrie was born on January 29, 1948 in Garden City, KS the daughter of Ralph and Florrie “Flo” (Clemons) Jones.
Florrie was a graduate of Elk City High School class of 1966. Florrie attended Kansas State University then began working as a bookkeeper. She worked at the 1st National Bank in Fredonia for some time and married Jerry McGinnis. Florrie and Jerry worked on their farm, had 3 children and later divorced. Florrie then married Joseph Blaise Alackness of Roulette, PA. and they later divorced.
Florrie enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers, and raising her pets. Florrie was a member of the Conservation Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Fredonia Food Bank.

Great-Grandchildren: Valeria, Eliana, Tony Jr., Neveah, Reanna, Breanna, Daryon, Laydon, Claire and Reagan
Great-Great Grandchild: Danica
Niece and Nephew: Gena Epp and Nephew Andrew Jones
Brother Milam Jones of Dodge City, KS
Florrie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ralph Zilman Jones.
Cremation has been requested, with a memorial service being held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Memorials have been suggested to either the Fredonia Pound Pals or the Fredonia Food Bank and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
