Floyd William Ethridge's Obituary
Floyd William Ethridge, age 69, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Chanute. Floyd was born on March 11, 1948 in Carnegie, Oklahoma the son of Leo Thomas and Anna Elnora (Craft) Ethridge.
Floyd attended Chanute High School and enlisted in the military after receiving his GED. He married Leona Chism and they had 5 children together and they later divorced. Floyd retired from the City of Chanute in the early 90's. Floyd worked for Walmart for many years before retiring. Floyd enjoyed fishing, camping and raising chickens. He loved to spend time with his family; he especially enjoyed the family meals.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel. Interment will following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to the Boy Scouts Troop #71 and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
