Floyd Greeley Hobbs' Obituary
Floyd Greeley Hobbs, age 92, a resident of Sedan, Kansas passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Via Christi St. Francis Harry Hynes Hospice Unit in Wichita, Kansas. He was born February 27, 1918 at Bacon Rind Creek west of Pawhuska, Oklahoma the son of John and Susie (Woods) Hobbs.
Floyd was a rancher and horse breeder all his life. He was a certified charter member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Floyd married Ruth Wright and they divorced, he married Louise Edwards and they divorced, he married Grace Wilson and they divorced and he married Beatrice Creep and they divorced.
He is survived by one niece Marty Hutton of Sedan, Kansas, one nephew Dave Monroe and his wife Debbie of Elk City, Kansas and several great nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Lela Mae Monroe, brother in law Terry Monroe and nephew Terry Monroe II.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan, Kansas. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Department and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
