Frank Dean Carey's Obituary
Frank Dean Carey, 71, of Humboldt, KS passed away at Heritage Health Care in Chanute, KS on May 10, 2018. He was born in Iola, KS on March 21, 1947 to Cecil Dean and Mary Alice (Burtnett) Carey. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1965 and joined the U.S. Navy a year later, where he proudly served his country for four years during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Debbie Crick, in Humboldt, KS on September 20, 1980. They later divorced after 30 years of marriage, but remained the best of friends.
Frank was the world’s best father and papa. He loved fishing, hunting, playing golf, and flying remote control planes. He retired from Monarch Cement Company where he was a heavy equipment operator from 1971-2010. Frank was a Godly man who loved his lifetime friends and always put others before himself. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Humboldt, KS. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Carey.
Cremation has been requested. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Humboldt Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Humboldt Chapel with inurnment following immediately after in Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, KS. Chanute Honor Guard will be in charge of military honors. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
