Fred O. Royse's Obituary
Fred O. Royse of Winfield, KS, 69, died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Wichita, KS. Fred was born, September 17, 1939 in rural Longton, KS, the son of Hugh and Mary (Lewis) Royse.
Fred attended and graduated from Longton High School, the class of 1958. He enlisted into the United States Army in January 1961 at Everett, Washington. After basic training in California, he attended mechanical and electronic communication training.
Fred served in Korea, South Vietnam and two terms in Germany. He served in the U. S. Army for 16 years. In his spare time, Fred liked to work with leather making purses and other leather items. He was an avid John Wayne movie collector and liked working with electronics.

He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Zimmerman Funeral Home, with Pastor Robin Haines officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until Service time, with burial to follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery, with Military Honors by Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
