Mike was a great mentor when I worked at Kustom. He taught me how a business should run. We were great friends playing softball and sharing a few beers. Our bets on the Royals and Chiefs were legendary. Figuring out how to pay off the bet so the other one couldn’t spend the money led to many trophies on our walls and a lifetime of stories. Mike I am proud to be able to call you a friend. A fellow Gorilla (class of 78)
I'll always remember my Uncle Mike as being soft spoken, one of the Biggest KC Chiefs fan I know, a die hard Reba fan, always a very proud Dad, and for how much he loved my Aunt Nancy! Thankful for all the memories through the years, and to have had you as my Uncle. Love always, Ginger
I worked many years at Kustom, with Mike, him in purchasing and me in QC. the one thing I remember is, he always tapped his pen, like a drummer, he loved a good challenge, he had a good sense of humor, but most of all, I took off work to care for my MOM, after she passed, he came in, put his arm around me and said, I just want you to know, You did it the right way, it ment so much to me, at that time, I was hurting so bad, he showed care and compassion, that's the Mike I knew, that's the Mike that will be missed. RIP my friend.
RIP Friend. We were in scouting together, and we worked together at Kustom for 42 years. Somewhere, the picture of us after the mile swim is still floating around. You will be missed by many

Mike was always a friend of mine and was one of those guys who was friendly to everyone. Haven't seen him in a long time but figure I will someday. Mike Cooper
