Gary Kent Fitzmorris' Obituary
Gary Kent Fitzmorris, born December 16, 1937 to Vesta (Marr) and Garold Fitzmorris of Coyville, KS, died suddenly July 18, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK.
Gary married Janice Fink October 20, 1957 and she preceded him in death after 40 years of marriage. Gary and Hope Ferguson-Johnson were married September 30, 2000 and she survives at the home.
Gary was a respected cattleman, quarter horse breeder, auctioneer with Reed Auctions and later with Midwest Auctions, and a past Wilson County Commissioner.
Survivors include brothers: John (Carolyn), Roger (Laura), Greg (Ann) and sister Marlene Edens (Jack). Children: Lori Kiblinger, Chanute, Mike, McPherson, and Scott Fitzmorris, Wichita. Step children: Brett Johnson (Monica) Andover and Laurie Eiberger (Jeff) Carlsbad, CA. Grandchildren: Adam Kiblinger (Jenni), Carson Fitzmorris, Houston, step grandchildren Hannah and Sarah Johnson. Great grandchildren: Stockton Kiblinger and Shaylee Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday morning, July 22, at Countryside Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Fredonia City Cemetery.
A Memorial has been established with the Fredonia Regional Healthcare Foundation or the Fredonia Arts Council.
