Gary Allan Harrelson's Obituary
Gary Allan Harrelson was born on August 6, 1934 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Denver Harrelson and Bessie Buckingham Harrelson.
He was a graduate of Fredonia High School.
In addition to serving in the Kansas National Guard, Gary also worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for many years. He later became an independent business owner with the purchase of the Fredonia Locker and the Circle Drive-in.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Darrell Harrelson and Neal Harrelson. His surviving brother, Bill Harrelson lives with his wife, Sandy in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
He leaves behind his children, Allan Harrelson, Michael Harrelson, Angela Traylor, and Todd Harrelson. He also has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
On March 5th, Gary passed away peacefully in the home he shared with his son Michael.
At Gary's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating.
