Gary Lynn Howell, age 69, passed away on November 27, 2014 in Chanute, KS. Gary was born on July 11, 1945 in Chanute, KS; the son of Roy Howell and Roy and Della (Whitmore) Brown.
Gary grew up in Chanute, attending Chanute Schools and eventually graduating from Chanute High School in 1963. On February 27, 1965, Gary married his wife Judy in Chanute, KS. Gary was a member of Living Word Assembly in Chanute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jerry Dean Howell and Delbert Howell and a sister; Lavonna (Coke) Colston.
He is survived by his wife Judy of Chanute, children: Darin Howell of KC, MO., Staci Page and husband Jeff of Humboldt, KS and Amy Bishop and husband Dennis of Chanute, grandsons; Gavin and Logan Page, brothers; Donnie Howell and Roy (Monk) Howell both of Chanute, and sister; Natalea (Tootie) Clark of Chanute.
Cremation is planned; Memorial Service for Gary Howell is planned for Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:30AM at Living Word Assembly in Chanute, KS. The family suggests memorials be made to Chanute Christian Academy in Chanute; the memorials may be left with or sent to Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland St. Chanute, KS 66720.
