Gary Lee Chamberlain's Obituary
Gary Lee Chamberlain, age 42, a resident of Piedmont, Kansas passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. He was born on March 5, 1968 in Eureka, Kansas the son of Dale Dean and Carolyn Lee (Gorges) Chamberlain. Gary was a graduate of Eureka High School Class of 1986.
On February 6, 1994 Gary was united in marriage to Kristina A. “Kristy†Wells at the Piedmont Christian Church. To this union were born two sons James Dakota and Jacob Dylan. Kristy preceded him in death on July 21, 2006.
Gary worked as foreman for Elk County Road and Bridge Department. Gary was also employed with Duling Farms. He was a member of the Tri Valley Pool League since 1986 and a supporter of Severy Ball Club.
Gary is survived by two sons Dakota and Jacob Chamberlain of Piedmont, Kansas, his father and step mother Dale and Venita Chamberlain of Severy, Kansas, two sisters Karen Swint of Udall, Kansas and Mary Scott of Derby, Kansas, one step sister Sherrie Bunyard of Severy, Kansas, one step brother Shawn Shepherd of Rock, Kansas, his grandmother Viola Chamberlain of Howard, Kansas and Jim and Lila Wunderlich of Piedmont, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his wife Kristy, his mother Carolyn, his grandfather Glenn Chamberlain and grandparents Al and Genevieve Gorges.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Piedmont Gymnasium in Piedmont, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating. Viewing will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Forest Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the Dakota and Jacob Chamberlain Educational Fund and may be left with the funeral home.
