Gene Mugrage's Obituary
Gene Mugrage, age 86, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his home. Gene was born on August 14, 1930 in Abilene, KS the son of George Elmer "Jim" and Gladys May (Savidge) Mugrage.
On August 4, 1986, Gene married Sherry (Fegel) Mugrage in St. Augustine, Florida.
Gene served in the United States Navy. He worked for A&P Grocery and moved to Chanute to manage the local store. Gene later went to work as an insurance agent for Prudential and retired from there after 20 years.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and son Mike Mugrage.
Cremation has been requested.
A visitation in celebration of a life well lived will be at the family home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 between 1:00-4:00 p.m. There will be assistance with parking. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Chanute Chapter of Ducks Unlimited or First Christian Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
