George Francis Meador's Obituary
George Francis Meador, age 71 of Longton, KS, passed away February 7, 2025 in Andover, KS.
George was born December 26, 1953 in Lake Port, California to H. Dean Meador and Blanch Lucille (Dwinell) Meador. He was the youngest of 3 boys. He graduated from Lake Port High School in 1972 and moved to the Turlock area to work. He worked at Armour for a short time, then found work at Foster Farms’ Livingston Processing plant, where he worked for more than 34 years. After leaving Foster Farms, he worked seasonally in St. Helena, CA. In 2017, he bought a home in Longton, Kansas, where he retired and lived with his companion of 30 years, Sheryll Overton.

Daughter, Jennifer (Laam) Larder and spouse Roseanne Smallwood of Muscle Shoals, AL
Step-son, Jake Overton and fiancée Nicole Spencer of Emporia, KS
10 Grandchildren, 5 Great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Per George’s request, cremation will take place with no services planned at this time.
Memorial contributions are suggested to your local American Legion or VFW in his name.
