George Richard Shay's Obituary
George Richard Shay, age 67, of Fredonia died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Galicia Heart Hospital in Wichita. George was born July 15, 1943 in Neodesha, Kansas the son of Warren William and Frankie (Parks) Shay.
George retired from the U.S. Army after serving 24 years. After retirement, George enjoyed taking care of his livestock and going to Grey Hound dog races. George was a member of the V.F.W. post #3018 of Fredonia.
On June 5, 1993 in Parsons, Kansas, George married Carrie J. Stipp, she survives at their home.

George was preceded in death by; parents, and Sister Isabel White.
Cremation has been requested. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Fredonia City Cemetery, with Military Honors presented by Ft. Riley.
