George T. Norris Jr.'s Obituary
George T. Norris Jr., of Fredonia, age 80 died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia, Kansas. He was born on November 15, 1929 to George T. Norris Sr. and Lida Coots, in Mount Ida, Kansas. The family later moved to the Yates Center area.
He married Joyce Ash in 1950. They were divorced in 1990.
He was an oilman for most of his life, owning and operating Midwestern Oil Co. in Chanute, Ks. He moved to the Fredonia area in 1982 where he owned and operated a ranch west of town, and raised angora goats.
He married Erlinda Reyes in 2003 and she survives at the home.
He is survived by 1 sister, Ann Morrison, of Augusta, Ks,

Tom Norris of Fort Scott, Kansas
Laurie Houdashelt of Fredonia, Kansas
He had 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Mary, and 2 brothers, Roy, and Sam.
Cremation has been requested. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday December 10, 2009 at 10:30 am at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bell officiating.
