Georgianna Lois Gambill's Obituary
Georgianna Lois Gambill, age 87, of Chanute, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. Georgie was born March 15, 1927 in Chanute, KS the daughter of James and Ruah (Faught) Phillips.
She married Harold Gambill and they later divorced. Georgie worked as the janitor at SRS for many years, and attended church at the Healing Center Church of God in Chanute.
Georgie is survived by her daughters; Jackie McGaugh and husband Michael of Chanute, KS, Carolyn Kinzle and husband Scott of Iola, KS, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James, and Ruah, son; Harold Gambill Jr., brothers; Johnny, James, Robert, George, and Billy Phillips, Frank and Ed Logan, sisters; Betty Hartsell, Francis Dunsworth, Ellen Phillps, Margaret Swank, and great-grandson; Mason Maloney.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.
Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
