Gerald Wayne Jesseph, age 80 of Gas, KS, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in Iola, KS. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Moran, KS, the son of Henry M. and Goldie May (Laymon) Jesseph.
Gerald married Barbara Palmer on December 22, 1957 in Peabody, KS. He served in the Air Force and National Guard as a Military Police trainer and also worked with the engineers for 30 years. Gerald enjoyed golfing, race car driving, horses and especially karaoke singing. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Cremation has been requested. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and may be mailed to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
