Geraldine Lacy's Obituary
Geraldine “Geri” A. Lacy, 95, of Eureka died Tuesday July 13th at Bethany Village, a nursing home in Lindsborg, KS. She was born on June 11, 1926 in Labette County to Ernest and Anna (Treadway) Geren. On Feb. 4, 1945, she married the love of her life, Jack H. Lacy in Parsons. Geri was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker, self-taught nutritionist, and businesswoman, holding a Kansas Real Estate Brokers license for years. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, tropical fish, cooking, plants and flowers of all kinds, and making Christmas decorations for all her grandkids. Geri is survived by her two daughters Lawanda J. Rinne, Fredonia, Starlyn Martin, Lyons, one son Byam Lacy, McPherson; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, two sisters, Muriel and Genevieve, one brother Don, one daughter Swana Fox, one son Byron Lacy, and one grandson. Geri had a strong will and never backed down from anything she believed in. She will be greatly missed by her family and anyone that knew her.
Visitation for Geri will be held on Monday, July 19 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, KS from 11:30am-12:30pm with Graveside Service to follow at the Fredonia City Cemetery at 1:00pm.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
