Gloria Grady's Obituary
Gloria Grady, age 75, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Wichita, KS. She was born on July, 3, 1940 to Lewis and Marguerite (Goll) Bowers.
Gloria married Floyd Grady on July 5, 1956 in Bartlesville Oklahoma and lived there til 1963. They lived in Caney Kansas and Independence Kansas before residing in Chanute in 1971. She loved sewing and painting. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked many jobs, including Ashley Clinic for 10 years, Loren Campbell and HiLo Company as a upholsterer.
Gloria is survived by her four daughters: Mary Ann and husband Mike Whitworth, Suzanne and husband Jim Williams, Gayle and husband Todd Shultz, of Chanute, KS, Dianna and husband Steve Berry of Caney, KS, her step son Wes and wife Tina Washabaugh of Garden Plains, KS. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene Hall of Sandsprings, OK, her brother, Mike Bowers of Buchanandam, TX, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Floyd who passed on March 5, 2002.
Cremation has been requested.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association and may be mailed to the funeral home at 101 N Highland Chanute, Kansas 66720.
