Gloria Salinas “Nene†Cagatin
Gloria S. Cagatin, age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. She was born on March 25, 1923 in Samar, Philippines the daughter of Julio and Agrifina (Canete) Salinas.
In September of 1944, Gloria was united in marriage to Fabio Sobrete Cagatin in Mapuyo Kawayan, Philippines. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2005
Mrs. Cagatin was known for her love of life and her strong mind. She loved joking and singing with her family. Mrs. Cagatin loved raising flowers especially roses and lilies. She was a very loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She was friendly and loved to meet people. She will be missed forever.

One sister: Lourdes Suarez, Philippines
32 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia, with Rosary being recited at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 5 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left with funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
