Grace Marie Schaberg's Obituary
Grace Marie Schaberg, age 95, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 in Chanute, Kansas. Grace was born on August 1, 1920 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of William Andrew and Flora Jane (Ogden) Davis.
In October of 1942 she married Burl Rowland Schaberg in San Diego, CA. Burl passed on December 9, 1968.
Grace and Burl owned and operated Jayhawk Glass for many years. Grace was a hard worker and a great business woman. She was an avid golfer and loved to play Bridge with her Bridge group. Grace was a woman of strong faith and a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Chanute for many years. She was proud to have been the first woman to serve on the Board of Trustees at the church. She was a very loving and caring role model for all of her family and always made others welfare her priority. She will be greatly missed, but always close to our hearts.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burl; brothers, Charles Davis, Walter Davis and Elmer Davis; sisters, Gladys Edmondson and Ann Peoples.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Chanute, KS. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday 1 -1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
