Harold Leonard Stoll's Obituary
Harold Leonard Stoll, 82, of Chanute, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Harold was born on April 11, 1931 in Woodson Township, Kansas, the son of Guy Herbert and Bessie Jane (Mitchell) Stoll.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His platoon was part of The Hamburger Hill Engagement.
Harold was united in marriage to Donna Joy Tripp on February 21, 1954 in Chanute. She preceded him in death.
He worked as a laborer at Nu-Wa Industries. He was a member of the Healing Center Church of God and enjoyed bowling for many years.
Harold is survived by his children, Samson Otto Stoll and his wife Cyndi of Wichita, Anita Ann Kohler of Chanute, Teena Marie Mitchel and her husband Charles of Oronogo, MO, Harold William “Bill” Stoll and his wife Michaele of Bremerton, WA, and Joy Lyn Stoll of Chanute; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lora Faye Snell of Mesquite, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna; and four brothers, Calvin Stoll, Donald Stoll, Ed Stoll and Paul Stoll.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Healing Center Church of God in Chanute.
Memorials in his name may be made to The Healing Center Church of God and may be left with the funeral home.
