Harold I. Sullens' Obituary
Harold Sullens, of Fall River, Kansas, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Fall River, KS. He was 78 years old. Born on February 15, 1947, in Burlington, Kansas, Harold was the son of Jess and Elsie (Freeman) Sullens.
Harold dedicated many years of service as a Grater Operator for Greenwood County. His work contributed to the daily life of the community he called home. Known for his steady hand and strong work ethic, Harold took pride in his role and the tangible impact it had on those around him.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sherry Sullens of Fall River; his son, David Rymer of Fall River; and his grandchildren: Jesse Rymer, April Rymer, Leah Rymer, and Jacob Rymer. Brother-in-law Robert Valle, and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Sullens. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Logan Rymer, Michael Rymer, Diana Rymer, and Remington Rymer. Harold is also survived by his sisters: Deva Coker of Grove, Oklahoma; Estle Adair of Wichita, Kansas; and Carol Engstrand of Wichita. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Elsie Sullens; his daughter, Carol Sullens; his brother, Jess Jr. Sullens; and his sister, Mary Valle.
Harold found joy in many pastimes throughout his life. He had a lifelong love for Westerns and never missed a good UFC fight. In earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, the activities that connected him to nature and offered peaceful moments away from daily routines. A true enthusiast when it came to old vehicles, Harold loved working on classic cars and trucks. Above all else, Harold had a special place in his heart for dogs.
Cremation has been requested, a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Fall River Community Center, with Pastor Gary Brown officiating.
