Harriet L. Vaughn's Obituary
Harriet L. Vaughn, age 99 of Fredonia died Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Vintage Park in Fredonia. Harriet was born on January 11, 1916 in North Loup, NE., the daughter of George K. and Leonette A. (Meinhart) Fish.
After high school, Harriet went to nursing school where she become a Registered Nurse, and retired from what is now known as Fredonia Regional Hospital. Harriet was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia, she was active with the Women's Mutual Benefit Club, and served many years with Fredonia Hospital Auxiliary.
On August 10, 1946 she married Robert C. Hill in Ft. Belvoir, VA. After Robert passed away, Harriet married Marion M. Vaughn on February 28, 1976, in Fredonia, KS.
Harriet is survived by 4 children:
Robert Hill of Poway, CA
Donald Vaughn of Fredonia, KS
Mariann Midkiff of Ft. Scott, KS
Linda Hyde of Fredonia, KS
8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren
Cremation has been requested, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
