Harry Chapman's Obituary
Harry Chapman, age 81, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Harry was born on March 24, 1927 in Wilson County, Kansas the son Harry and Iva (Dannels) Chapman.
On August 25, 1945 Harry was united in marriage to Wanda McBeath in Fredonia, Kansas and she preceded him in death on July 19, 1987.
Harry was the Maintenance Director for USD 484 for approximately 20 years. He was very fond of all animals and especially enjoyed horses and poultry. In retirement Harry was active working in his garden and at home, but most of all he loved to watch his grandchildren.

Joseph S. Chapman of Belgrade, Montana
Michael J. Chapman of Lawrence, Kansas
One daughter:
Sara Sue Olson of Fredonia, Kansas
One sister:
Louise Cox of Joplin, Missouri
9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 2, 2008 at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Charlotte Coates officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Fredonia City Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the Fredonia Education Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home.
