Helen Jean Heyen's Obituary
Helen Jean (Jones) Heyen, age 70 of Howard, KS passed away August 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Helen was born August 21, 1949 in Dickson, TN to Plummer and Carrie (Sensing) Jones. She grew up in Tennessee alongside 9 siblings. After graduating school, she lived several places including Texas, South Carolina, and in 2005 moved to Howard, KS. She worked for numerous companies through her life, including a Mortgage Company which had to hire 4 people to replace her after she was forced to stop working due to her health.
Helen will be remembered as a very strong, loving woman. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and was always there to help her family no matter the circumstance. If she knew you needed help, she was there whether she knew you personally or not. She was a member of the Howard Independent Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancee Braxton of Howard, KS

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mary Fairoloth, Jeanette Jones, and Margie Jones.
Per Helen's wishes, cremation has been requested with no services planned.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
