Helen Ann (Scheikofsky) Williams Bennett's Obituary
Helen Ann (Scheikofsky) Williams Bennett, 75, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Overland Park Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Helen was born on June 18, 1940 in Marion, KS the daughter of James Ernest and Katharine Elizabeth (Deines) Scheikofsky.
Helen graduated from Emporia High School in 1958. In 1984, Helen married Gerry Bennett in Reno, Nevada.
Helen worked as a clerk typist for the State of Kansas. Helen’s passion was playing shuffleboard and she was very competitive. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Three Rivers Pool League.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband Gerry, son, Brian Williams and partner Matthew Walter of Prairie Village, KS; step son, Ray Gene Bennett of Derby, KS; step daughter, LaWanda Bennett of Wichita, KS; brother Eugene James Scheikofsky and wife Imogene of Wichita, KS.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home-Humboldt Chapel on 908 Central in Humboldt, KS. Interment will be in Matfield Green Cemetery in Matfield Green, KS at 2 p.m. on October 30, 2015.
Family requests memorials to Special Olympics in Mission, KS and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS.
