Henry "Hank" Eugene Kill's Obituary
Henry Eugene “Hank” Kill, also known as “Blackie” to some, beloved dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend, passed away on September 2, 2023. He was born on November 4, 1942, to William (Bill) and Verna Kill and was one of nine children.
He attended Boston County School and graduated from Moline High School. He worked for Bilt Rite in Sedan, drove a truck for Ruan Trucking, and owned his own TV repair business in Moline before he began assembling airplanes with Cessna and Boeing from which he retired in 1999.
In 1964, he married Marjorie Hess. Born to this union was a daughter, Robin and a son. Hank also stepped in as a father figure and raised his grandson Kody as his own son. They were very close and spent as much time together as they could.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and third-generation rancher. He loved taking family and friends hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was an engineer with innovation when it came to working on anything from small motors to heavy machinery. He was a firm believer in being an operator, not just driving equipment. He was always eager to share his expansive knowledge, stories, and experiences.
