Henryetta Opal Craig's Obituary
Henryetta Opal Craig, age 89, the only daughter of Henry W. and Minnie Kahle Pape was born June 9, 1926 in rural Wilsey, KS. She departed this life September 17, 2015 at the Eureka Nursing Center, Eureka, KS.
She attended rural schools in Morris, Labette, Butler, and Greenwood counties. She Graduated from Climax, KS High School in 1944. On September 28, 1947 she was united in marriage with Wilbur Merle Craig at Iola, KS. To this union 7 children were born.
Henryetta taught rural school after graduation. She worked at Boeing in Wichita, KS. She had her own custom quilting business, and was cook and waitress at several cafes near Severy, KS.
In December 2011, she moved into assisted living in El Dorado, KS.
She is survived by: two sons; Kenneth Craig and his wife Dee of Washburn, MO., Robert Craig and his wife Linda of Howard, KS., two daughters; Della Kirkendall and husband Richard of Haysville, KS., Wanda Nusz and her husband Larry of Severy, KS., daughter-in-law; Patty of Severy, KS., brothers; Dave and Junior Pape, 9 Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur, on December 10, 2011, her parents, brothers; Walter and Dan Pape, son; Merle, and her twins, Earl and Earline Craig.
Graveside Services will be held, September 22, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Twin Grove Cemetery in Severy, KS., with Pastors Bob Robinson and Tom Boerma officiating.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association and may be mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1233, Howard, KS. 67349.
