It's been many years since I'd seen Herb, but I fondly remember him as such a cool dad to my best friend Kim. I remember when he and Julia would come to PSU to see Kim sing, and I loved how happy and friendly (and goofy) he always was. Kim, Julia, and Randy, I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy..
Wonderful man. So obviously enjoyed teaching and sharing his love of music with his students. Sympathy and prayers for Julia randy Kim and family.
Herb came to CHS my senior year of HS, but I only had band second semester that year. It wasn't until I returned to teach at Royster for 6 years that I got to really get to know Herb and work with such an amazing man. He was so caring and had great enthusiasm. He taught me and our students a really cool marching move that I still use with my band today and always think of him. I and the world will truly miss you, my friend. Thank you for a life well lived!
My condolences to Mrs. Correll and Family. Many great memories through HIgh School at Harrisonville “Class of 81”He was Good hearted man, enjoyed what he did. It was a pleasure and Honor to know him.
Mr. Correll was a wonderful teacher. He cared about students so much like we were his family. He was more than a teacher, but also a friend. RIP Mr. Correll and may your memory continue to live on in the hearts of all of your students. Love you very much my friend
Just thinking of Mr. Correll fills my heart with joy. Herb always had a smile, was goofy in the most delightful way, full of boundless hope and encouragement...Without question one of the most sincere human beings I've ever been mentored by. Even as a student, I called him a true friend because you could tell he really truly cared about you as a person. God Bless You, Herb. And Blessings to the Correll Family, thank you for sharing him with us! ---Jennifer Knapp, CHS '92
