Ida Marie Buchanan's Obituary
Ida Marie (Conrad) Buchanan, 83, of Fredonia, was born October 9,1941 in Fredonia, the daughter of Alonzo and Etta (Carroll) Conrad. Ida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2025, in Wichita, KS.
Ida attended school in Fredonia and was married at the age of 16, the day after her wedding, her husband Richard and her moved to Dodge City, KS to start their new life together. Ida took a job at the Dodge City grade school, food services, she also cleaned homes, and businesses, and also worked at a pharmacy, while raising and taking care of her family. Ida also worked many years at the Bible Baptist Church in Dodge City.
In 1999, Ida and Richard and daughter Beverly moved back to Fredonia. Still taking care of her family, lovingly putting their needs first, she also worked at the Fredonia Library until her retirement. Ida devoted her love to Richard and her family for 66 years.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, and Siblings: Lee Coy Conrad, Lulu Faye Conrad, Junior Conrad, Lola Reinhart, Nadine Timmons, Betty Youngstrom, Martin Conrad, Harriet Snyder,
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with burial to follow at Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to either the First Baptist Church in Altoona or the Fredonia Avenue of Flags and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
