Isabel Borjas' Obituary
Isabel Borjas, age 78 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She was born on January 14, 1940 in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Santos and Patricia (Godinez) Ramirez.
Isabel married Ramon E. Borjas, Sr. on September 11, 1963 in Erie, KS. He preceded her in death in 2007. She worked many years as a nurse’s aide at Arolyn Heights Assisted Living in Chanute and later worked as a cook at Esterllitas Mexican Restaurant in Chanute.
Isabel loved life and being around her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles and word searches. She also enjoyed listening to her Mexican music.

Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ramon; son, Ramon Borjas, Jr.; siblings: Lupe Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, Pete Ramirez, Frank Ramirez, Benny Mendez, Daniel Ramirez Lupe Tinoco and Francis Gonzalez.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Good News Center in Chanute, KS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Good News Center. Cremation has been requested after the service.
