Jack L. Shinn Jr.'s Obituary
Jack L. Shinn Jr., of Fredonia, 86 of Fredonia, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Morning Star Care Center in Fredonia. Jack was born on July 31, 1932 in New Albany, KS the son of Jack and Rena Grace (Ritter) Shinn Sr.
Jack was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1950. In 1952 Jack went into the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 4 years. After his return, Jack worked as an Air Traffic Controller until his retirement.
Jack was a member of the Fredonia VFW and the American Legion. On June 20, 1956 Jack married Helen and they later divorced. Jack's motto was: He wasn't a good man, but he was always a kind man." Jack will be a great loss to his many friends, and the community.

Rodger Shinn of Fredonia, KS
Jimmy Shinn of Burlington, KS
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Willard and Carson Shinn
On Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at noon, friends are invited to the VFW in Fredonia to share a meal and memories before the funeral service.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with the Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
