Jackie Ray Gilleland's Obituary
Jackie Ray “Jack” Gilleland, age 76, of Chanute, Kansas passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Pittsburg, KS. Jack was born on October 29, 1940 in Dawson, Oklahoma, the son of Elmer and Mary (Hoffman) Gilleland.
On September 27, 1991 Jack married Nelva (McCoy) Walker in Miami, OK.
Jack served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1966-1968. He worked in the Walmart automotive department as a mechanic and retired in 2006 before moving to Chanute. Jack was a member of the American Legion and was proud of the time that he served his country. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, dad and grandpa and will be greatly missed.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been requested.
