Jackie Leroy Vestal's Obituary
Jackie Leroy Vestal, age 70, of Longton, KS passed away on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Jack was born on January 6, 1947 in Winfield, KS to parents John Dee and Dorothy Audine (Fisher) Vestal. He graduated from Longton High School in 1965 and immediately joined the Navy. He married Mary on August 12, 1972 in Howard, Kansas. After working as a journeyman and various other jobs, he retired from Cobalt Boats with 22 years of service. The joy of Jack's life was his wife and three boys.
Jack was preceded in death by both parents, John Dee and Dorothy Audine Vestal and son Ervin Dee Vestal. He leaves behind his wife, Mary Elizabeth Vestal of the home; son Curtis Lynn Vestal and wife Jennifer, son Leonard Blackwill and wife Michele, granddaughters Ashley Blackwill and Destiny Vestal.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas from 10:00 to 11:00 am. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Countryside. Interment will be immediately after the service at Longton City Cemetery in Longton, Kansas. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
