James Alan Holley's Obituary
James Alan Holley, age 44, a resident of Longton, Kansas went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas after a determined fight against Leukemia. James was born March 23, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Glenn Holley and Jeanne Crouse.
On October 19, 1991 James was united in marriage to Janet Ferris at the University Congregational Church in Wichita, Kansas. Over the years he worked as a sheet metal mechanic in the aircraft industry. He served as a Vegetable and Agriculture Superintendent for the Elk County Free Fair in Longton. James was an avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed raising lab puppies, gardening, growing flowers and bird watching. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, two children, and his beloved labs Doc and Izzi.
James is survived by his wife Janet, a son Jakob and a daughter Jessica all of the home, his father and step mother Glenn and Sandra Holley of Harrison, Arkansas, his mother Jeanne Moncravie of Wichita, Kansas one sister Dena Oxley and husband Eric of Valley Center, Kansas and half brother Larry Crouse and wife Mary of Wichita, Kansas
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Christian Community Church in Longton. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Elk Falls Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to either Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
