James Joel Collins age 69 of Chanute, passed away January 8, 2014 at his residence in Chanute, KS. James was born April 3, 1944 in Chanute, KS the son of Virgil and Junita (Teeley) Collins.
James is survived by his children Jim Collins II, of Chanute, Scott Collins of Humboldt, Jeff Collins of Humboldt, Monica Collins of Chanute, Chris Collins of Tulsa, OK, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Junita, his brother Tony Collins, and sister Sharen Collins.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be holding a private memorial service.
