James C. “Jim” Futhey, age 82, a resident of Grenola, Kansas passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on September 7, 1930 the son of Henry Clay and Irma Read Obituary
I remember Jim from Boeing many years ago. Very smart and a good, good man. Goodnight and Godspeed Jim, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.

Jim was a good friend of my dad at Boeing. I remember hearing Dad talk about him when I was a child, and it was always good. Our prayers are with you during this time of loss.

Jim and I were in a play together, he was my big brother. I loved working on the play with him. He was a staple in the cafe everyday. He was always quick to tell a joke, and he could fill the other patrons coffee cups as fast as any waitress. He helped us out in the kitchen many times. I loved visiting with him at the Alumni Banquets every year. He had such a contagious laugh and smile. There are so many things to say about Jim, but not enough hours in the day to tell them all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I was glad to call him a friend.
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
We had a lot laugh's when we were bowling.
He was a great guy.
