James Ernest Whaley was born to Warren and Bessie Whaley at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson Kansas, on August 31, 1935. Jim grew up in the town of Arlington, Kansas in a family of nine. Five of which, (Wanda, Ed, Elly, Beverly, and G Read Obituary
Mr Whaley was my favorite! I had him for a Kansas history class at Royster and we had to make a model sod house with dirt. Peace be with his family and friends.
Such a nice man. Always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. Loved having him as a teacher. Prayers to the family.

Jim was such a nice fellow and when he decided on a project he gathered all who would listen to share the excitement in getting it done. No sitting around until the task was done. He did so much for the community.
